Team Becka
On May 8, 2017, Becka Lindquist, a girl of only 13 years of age committed suicide. Becka was a shining beacon of light, an amazing friend, a little sister, singer, cheerleader, softball player and was always making plans about going to college. Unknown to everyone around her, she was silently battling depression.
In honor of Becka, her family participates with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention by annually walking in the Out of the Darkness Walk in their community. They have created a coin which will help with the fundraising efforts of AFSP in research for suicide prevention, create and distribute education programs, as well as advocate for public policy and support the survivors of suicide loss.
For more info on Suicide Prevention Awareness visit AFSP.org. PURPLE and TEAL represent Suicide Prevention Awareness. Becka loved RED roses, RED lipstick and all things that sparkle.
